Inman’s Tyler Jerrick – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by APAC KS Inc

Tyler Jerrick is embracing the urgency that comes with his senior season at Inman. After helping the Teutons put together a successful 2025 campaign, Jerrick is focused on taking the next step both individually and as a team as he prepares for his final year in his hometown colors.

“For this season I am most excited to try to improve from last year and make a deep run into the playoffs,” Jerrick said. “Also, I am excited to enjoy my last year playing at my hometown and with my teammates.”

Jerrick has spent the offseason putting in the work necessary to help Inman contend this fall. His routine has included an aggressive strength program, team camps and consistent practice time to sharpen every aspect of his game.

“To improve I have had weight training five to six times a week along with attending camps with my team against other schools,” Jerrick said. “Along with weekly practices with my team.”

While the physical preparation has been important, Jerrick believes the biggest area of growth has come mentally. He has dedicated extra time to understanding offensive and defensive concepts so he can react more confidently when the lights come on Friday nights.

“One thing that I am looking to improve is my decision making,” Jerrick said. “I have improved by running plays on offense to get a feel for what I would see in the game. Along with running defenses versus other teams at camps to be more confident with my decisions and make more accurate decisions.”

Jerrick has established lofty goals for his senior season. Team success remains the priority, but he also hopes to make a greater impact offensively.

“A goal I have for the team is to have an undefeated regular season record,” Jerrick said. “If we could achieve this it would set us up really well for the playoffs. Individually, I would like to get to double-digit touchdowns for the year.”

Jerrick already proved to be a valuable two-way contributor in 2025. Defensively, he recorded 46 tackles, including 22 solo stops, added three interceptions and two tackles for loss. On offense, he hauled in 14 receptions for 290 yards and three touchdowns.
