The first team all-league catcher from Clay Center, Colten Tadtman, is looking forward to continuing the team’s tradition of making a state appearance. Of course this year, he’s looking to take it all.
“This season, I would love to help lead my team back to state; that is a goal that we have every year, and we have accomplished it in two of my three years so far,” Tadtman said. “I would love to get back there and compete with the best teams in the state. As far as personal goals go, I want to go 1-0 every day and improve my game. I would also like to make the all-state team once again, as that was a big goal that I accomplished last year.”
While looking for some big wins this year, Tadtman is also looking forward to enjoying his senior year.
“For this next season, I am very excited just to be out playing with my teammates and friends once again,” Tadtman said. “My teammates and coaches are my brothers for life, and I don’t know what I would do without them.”
After making his name known in a regional game last season, Tadtman is hoping to carry on that momentum into this season.
“The most memorable moment in my baseball career so far would be my game-winning two RBI single in the bottom of the sixth of the first round of regionals last season,” Tadtman said. “This hit was something that I like to watch the video on, and it just puts a smile on my face. “Being able to come through in the biggest moment of our season for my brothers was an awesome feeling that I hope I can do again this season.”
