Nash Dickinson – Hillsboro
#28 – Senior. Nash is our starting catcher and ace of the pitching staff. He also plays 1B. Nash is a leader on the field and plays with a lot of passion. He is a very coachable player and will do whatever is asked of him. He is a student of the game and is always looking for ways to improve his baseball IQ. Nash broke his hand in an alumni game his sophomore year and was unable to play. He spent that season as an unofficial coach and was able to see the game from a different perspective that I believe has made him a better ballplayer.
Dalton Philpott – Hillsboro
Dalton is a sophomore this year that is looking to build on a solid freshman year. Dalton plays C, SS, 3B, P & outfield or wherever our team needs him to. He is a selfless player that is willing to do whatever is needed for our team to be successful. I look for Dalton to take the next step this year and really become a leader and have a great season this year.
Jaeten Loewen – Hillsboro
Jaeten is a sophomore this year who started as a freshman. The plan was for Jaeten to learn the outfield and play next to a senior in CF but that plan quickly changed. By the second week of the season, Jaeten was our starting CF. As a freshman, there was no moment that was too big for Jaeten. He worked day in and day out to become a better outfielder but where he made his biggest improvement was at the plate. He is not going to hit for power, but he will put the ball in play and create chaos with his legs. Jaeten shows up every day ready to work and pushes everyone around him to get better.
Jace Morales – Hillsboro
Jace is a sophomore this year and is willing to try out new positions if it benefits the team. Jace got a taste of varsity playing time last year and handled it very well. This year Jace stepped up and asked to catch on the JV team as that is a position of need. Day in and day out Jace is willing to do whatever is asked of him even if it is out of his comfort zone. He is a quiet kid that keeps his head down and gets his work done.
–
Brycen Dickens – Sedan
Brycen was an all-state player last year and will attend junior college on a scholarship once he makes his decision on what school he wants to attend. He is a die hard blue devil and is the most passionate kid I have ever coached. His dad, uncle, and several other family members are alumni of Sedan and have played at the college ranks. Brycen has been our ace on the mound and our best hitter since his sophomore year. Last year his ERA was below one with over 90 k’s in 53 innings pitched. He hit .548 and had a 93% stolen base percentage. We look for him to have a record breaking year for us in his last year.
Ethan Zimmerman & Rance Gorby – Sedan
Ethan and Rance were freshmen last year and were thrown into the fire from day one. Ethan played a variety of positions while Rance learned first base very quickly. We are hoping both of these guys improve at the plate and are ready to make a bigger impact for our squad.
Evan Butler – Sedan
Evan is one of the best humans I have ever been around. You do not get many yes sir no sir kids anymore but with Evan it is daily. Evan is a straight A’s kid who will be fighting for playing time this year as a sophomore. Evan is very respectable and has been raised by a great family. I can remember telling Evan to work on a few things throughout the years for example his throwing motion or his batting stance and he would come back after a few days and have it down pat. You could tell he went home and worked on stuff. He is the type of kid that is easy to coach and you love having him in your dugout.
Sam Miller & Levi Goode – Sedan
Sam and Levi are the hunters of the team. These two are outside for every season whether it is chasing deer or some kind of bird or duck. Every day of the fall we trade trail cam pictures of our bucks to see who has the biggest on camera. These guys are the heart of the team who will always make the team laugh when it is needed. Both kids look to make an impact this year in the outfield for the blue devils.
–
Reece Carmichael – Halstead
Started at shortstop last year as a freshman but may be called on to move to catcher. Baseball savvy and hard worker.
Greyson Swift – Halstead
Returning sophomore who took over Varsity third base in the middle of last season. Could figure prominently pitching as well.
Wyatt Hahn – Halstead
Junior who has not had much varsity experience but works hard. Will compete for an outfield spot this season.
–
Jackson Kolterman – Onaga
Jackson has been our leadoff hitter and starting shortstop since stepping on the field as a freshman. He was Honorable Mention All-State and 1st Team All-League as a freshman, 2nd Team All-State and 1st Team All-League as a sophomore, and 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-League as a junior. He received votes for Player of the Year at the KABC All-State voting as a junior and I expect him to be in the running again this year. Defensively, he’s one of if not the best short stops in the state in 2-1A. He has signed with Butler County Community College to play there next fall. Heading into his senior season, he already holds the school record with 13 career home runs and is on pace to set several other records this spring. He also has already set the school’s single-season records for batting average (.635), OPS (2.037), on base percentage (.710), slugging percentage (1.327), triples (3), home runs (8), runs scored (43), total bases (69), and extra base hits (17). Several of those records were set his junior season when he only was able to play 18 games thanks to rain-outs and illness. Also a pitcher, he’s on pace to set several career records there as well. Pitched two complete game shutouts, including one no-hitter. Stats from last season:

Casen Hutfles – Onaga
Started as a freshman for us hitting .292 with seven doubles. Played several positions for us, but should be one of our top two pitchers, and play some catcher as well. He’s grown a lot physically since last season and we expect him to hit third in the lineup for us this season and make a huge step forward at the plate, while also being our game #2 starter on the mound.
–
Kale Brodhagen – Andover
Kale is a senior in our program. He has been a varsity starter since his freshman year, primarily at first base. Throughout his career, he has produced at a high-level offensively, and is also an excellent first baseman. He received recognition at the all-league level the past two years, and we will look for him to take another step forward in his senior year.
Isaac Holt & Ryan Hatfield – Andover
Isaac Holt is a sophomore. He was a role player with our varsity his freshman year. He is an outfielder, as well as a pitcher, and we anticipate him helping our program at both positions this spring. Ryan Hatfield is a sophomore. He was a role player with our varsity his freshman year. He is a catcher, as well as an outfielder, and we anticipate him helping our program at both positions this spring.
Luke Osburn – Andover
Luke is a senior in our program. He split time at catcher in 2024, and looks to step into a bigger role this season. Luke thinks the game at a high level, works extremely hard behind the plate, and is an excellent teammate. In addition, he has put in a ton of work on his game over the past season and is poised for an excellent senior year.
Maverick Hurt – Andover
Maverick is a senior in our program. He played infield and pitcher for our varsity in 2024. We will look for those roles to only grow for Maverick in 2025, and expect him to have an excellent season. In addition to his on-field success, Maverick is also a leader in our school. He is a member of a number of school organizations and a strong supporter of the other programs at AHS.
–
Colton Roberts – Rose Hill
Colton Roberts is a three-time varsity letter winner entering his senior year. He has been named to the AVCTL IV all league team the last two seasons while earning 2nd Team All State in 2023 and 2024. Colton was also named 2nd Team All metro in his junior year and 1st team all county in 2023 and 2024. He has signed to play at Cowley County next season
–
Will Howard – Basehor-Linwood
Will has been a four year starter for our baseball program and is committed to catch at the Naval Academy. He has led our team in multiple offensive categories and has received All-Conference Honors for catcher and infield play. His last season numbers include a .427 AVG, .527 OBP, 32 hits, 6 2Bs, 2 HRs, 18 RBIs, 8 runs. Will has been a staple behind the plate for us and directly impacts every game he plays in. On top of that, he is an excellent role model in our community and beyond. He works extremely hard in the weight room, achieving All-Conference honors at inside linebacker and punter for our football program. The best compliment that I can give him is that my sons look up to him and try to emulate him. He is one of if, not the guy I would choose to have my sons to watch and interact with.
Colin Zimbelman – Basehor-Linwood
Colin worked his way into our varsity lineup as a freshman. He consistently had tough ABs. His numbers weren’t amazing but he had 11 hits in 20 games played for us and we expect big things from him at the plate and finding a home on defense. Colin is a versatile player that will catch for us and can play in the infield as well as the outfield.
Caden Puderbaugh – Basehor-Linwood
Going into his junior season, Caden will be a three year starter for us in the infield and has caught for us as well. He has been one of the most consistent ball players for us. Always the first to the diamond, always getting extra after practice, and always giving back to the community. Last season, Caden missed the last eight games of the season, after he extended a single into a double, slid head first into second and dislocated his shoulder. This was the spark that earned us a victory against a very good Hays team. We have high expectations of him this season and he has high expectations of himself. I can’t say enough positive things about him. He wears his faith on his sleeve and isn’t afraid to share his beliefs. He makes everyone around him better baseball players and people.
Kaleb Lingenfelser – Basehor-Linwood
Kaleb will be in the top of our pitching rotation again this season and has been a starter for us on the bump since the tail end of his sophomore season. He is a consistent pitcher with a quick pace that fielders like to play behind. Kaleb and I talk about his hunting and fishing regularly. He is an avid outdoorsman and going into his senior season, we expect him to be a great leader as well as a dominant pitcher in the UKC.
–
Carter Drumright – Wichita Collegiate School
Senior Carter Drumright enters his final season with a clear goal: leading the team back to the state tournament. As the lone senior, his leadership on and off the field will be invaluable, providing stability and experience to a young roster. Balancing two spring sports, he demonstrates exceptional dedication and time management. His competitive drive, coupled with strong skills at the plate and in the field, makes him a key contributor poised to leave a lasting legacy.

Sophomore first baseman Jacob is poised for a breakout season after an incredible summer, showcasing impressive power at the plate and solid defensive skills. His consistent bat, marked by gap-to-gap hitting and emerging home run potential, makes him a key offensive threat.
Isaac Vanderburg – Wichita Collegiate School
Isaac is the team’s unsung hero, consistently putting in extra work and doing the little things that don’t always show up in the box score. His dedication, hustle, and attention to detail set the standard for his teammates. Whether it’s making a smart defensive play, taking an extra base, or supporting teammates, Isaac’s impact is felt in every game. His selfless attitude and work ethic make him an invaluable part of the team’s success.
Maddox Drumright – Wichita Collegiate School
Maddox exemplifies the qualities of a Character Counts athlete through his quiet leadership and strong work ethic. As a sophomore, he’s earned the respect of upperclassmen with his dedication, humility, and lead-by-example approach. Maddox consistently demonstrates integrity on and off the field, showing up early, putting in the work, and supporting his teammates without seeking recognition. His calm demeanor, reliability, and commitment to excellence make him a standout role model within the team and school community.
–
Owen Ruge – Emporia
Owen has been on the All-Centennial League team his freshman, sophomore and junior year. He was a first team selection last season. He hit .388 with 6 Doubles. On the mound, he posted a 1.54 ERA and 49 strikeouts while missing three starts due to mid-season arm issues. He returned to face Andover Central in the first round of regionals and threw a complete game, giving up 1 run and striking out 8.
Micah Gray – Emporia
Micah hit in the 1 or 2 hole for us all season last season as a freshman. We will look for him to be a Utility type player for us. Last year, he played primarily CF, but this year he should get time catching, on the infield, on the mound, and possibly outfield. Last year he hit .328 with 22 hits and had a 3.41 ERA on the mound, primarily out of relief.
Madden Seidl – Emporia
Madden has come a long way since his Freshman year. He has grown to 6’5″ and has developed into one of our leaders. He handles coaching and helps bring along underclassmen. Madden has signed to play at Cloud County next year. He started the year off with some arm issues. When he returned to the mound last season he posted 20 k’s in 23 innings. He had a great summer on the mound as well, reportedly was into the low 90’s periodically.
–
Drew Becker & Ryker Zoeller – Rock Creek

He led our team with a .405 avg, 30 hits, 7 2B, 3 3B, a HR, 32 RBI, and 14 runs scored as well as catching a pitching staff that had an ERA of 1.451. Drew is an outstanding player, leader and person as he carries a 4.0 GPA and signed with Cowley County.
Ryker has been a three-year starter for us and a fixture in our pitching rotation since his freshman season. Ryker went 5-0 with 3 saves in 2024 giving up just 8 runs in 40 innings finishing with a 0.875 ERA and 42 K’s (3rd on the team). Ryker also started in the outfield and hit 2nd in our batting lineup finishing 20-62 for a .323 average with 17 RBI and 15 runs scored. Ryker also holds a 4.0 GPA and has been an outstanding leader for us.
Brock Lubbers – Rock Creek
Brock came in as a freshman last year and was unbelievable on the mound throwing 36 shutout innings (no runs earned or unearned given up all season) tying a state record. He also earned his way into the lineup late in the season finishing the season in the 5 hole with 4 doubles, 14 RBI and 6 runs scored. We look for big things from Brock in the middle of the lineup this season. He’s a former PBR Junior Future’s game player that has a bright future ahead of him.
Peter Martinie – Rock Creek
Peter earned the starting shortstop position for us towards the end of the year after turning heads in JV defensively. He has outstanding hands and is a very smooth fielder. At the plate he was big for us in regionals and state executing a double suicide squeeze in the state semi-final as well as having some clutch AB’s throughout post-season play. Peter is a three-sport athlete that started at WR in football, point guard in basketball and short stop in baseball.
Cooper Sieben – Rock Creek
Cooper led our team in innings pitched and wins last season as a junior going 9-0 (school record for most wins in a season) and earning 2nd Team All-State from KABC as well as All-League honors. Logan Rogers – Maize South
Big time sophomore arm for us this year. Could have a breakout year. Was third in innings pitched last year as a freshman on a 19-5 #1 Seed team in 5A west.
Kanyon Akers – Maize South
An infielder turned to an outfielder so he could get on the field and help us out and play as a sophomore last year. Was a strike thrower on JV his freshman year. Last year on varsity, we were short on pitching and he stepped in as an emergency starter for us. Ended up being our most consistent pitcher and led the team in strike %.
–
Landon Traver – Marais des Cygnes Valley
Landon is a very talented baseball player. He had seven assists last season from the outfield. He was a solid player at the plate, and ran the bases well. He is a competitor in every sport he plays.
Dalton Lingenfelter – Marais des Cygnes Valley
Dalton is a player that just makes plays. He makes very few errors in the field and has a great arm. His pitching is really coming along as well. He is willing to do whatever the team needs to be successful. He led our team in OBP last season and was top three in batting average.
Josh Ulupano – Marais des Cygnes Valley
Josh is the hardest working kid. He strives to be better every day. He has really stood out on the mound. He isn’t flashy, doesn’t throw unhittable pitches, just throws balls we can play on.
Chase Vogeler – Marais des Cygnes Valley
Chase has not been a name that most coaches know. He, over the last couple of years, has done the things to earn himself some time on the field. He is not looking for banners or notoriety, he just loves to play the game. This year he will compete for an every day spot. Trey Decavele Trey is the team hillbilly. Definitely an outdoorsman. He rides motorcycles, fishes, and is rarely stuck inside.
–

Carter Bengtson – McPherson
Carter is a 2027 graduate who started every game of his freshman season. He simply earned all-state honors and quickly became one of our best players. He led our team in RBIs and has a bright future as a bullpup.
Isaac Barnett – McPherson
Isaac is a kid who transferred here almost two years ago now and has really battled injury. He had to miss his senior football season due to the ankle and is finally looking healthy. He works his tail off and is a fantastic kid. Hoping for a great senior season.
Logan Beede – McPherson
Logan is probably our hardest worker. He isn’t blessed with God-given talent but has worked his way into being a great HS pitcher. He has signed to pitch for Neosho CC next fall. He got a lot of post-season recognition a year ago after going 7-0 W/L for the Bullpups and will be a good pitcher this upcoming spring!
Brock Richardson – McPherson
Brock is a three-year starter for the Bullpups. He started at third base as a sophomore for our state championship team. Played short stop every game as a junior and will likely play there as a senior. He is signed to play baseball for Butler CC.
Brody Seidl – McPherson
Brody has a unique story and something anyone can gravitate to. He lost his father to a train accident in middle school and lost his mother to cancer this past summer. He does live with his step father. He drives our energy bus and has handled adversity with the best of them. He is our emotional and vocal leader. He is a phenomenal CF and was 1st team all state a year ago. He has signed to play college baseball at Cloud CC.
–
Sam Nordhus – Nemaha Central
Sam has played for us all four years at the varsity level. He’s been an All-League & All-State outfielder and last year was an All-League pitcher. Sam has been a great leader for our team and is even a better kid off the field. His summer team is the Barnstormers out of Manhattan.
Caleb Hynek – Nemaha Central
Caleb will find a way to play at the next level. He’s the ultimate competitor. Started for us as a freshman at third base and will move over to the middle infield this year. Excellent defender, who could also play in the outfield. A very talented athlete who can hit to all sides of the field and will only get better with growth and strength. His summer team is the Barnstormers out of Manhattan.
–
Conner Blume – WaMego
Conner led us in hitting last year and caught almost every game. He just committed to Division III Central College in Iowa. He hit 12 doubles and 30 RBI.
Macoy Moody – WaMego
Macoy had a great freshman season going 2-1 with a 2.37 ERA 30 K’s. He had a great summer playing for the Indiana Prospects and has had strong interest from various Division 1 schools since getting to 88 mph with his fastball. In addition to being one of our top pitchers, he will be one of our top outfielders this year.
–
Wyatt Griffin – Minneapolis
Wyatt works hard and does everything that is asked of him. He has great character, and cares for and about others. He is a player that every coach wants to have on their team because you know exactly what effort and leadership you are getting from him.
–
Hunter Hamm and Easton Perkins – El Dorado
These two are great leaders for us. Hunter will be a four-year starter and Easton has been a three-year starter. They are both eager to play at the next level and have been working hard in the summer and offseason to be the best they can be.
Grady Scanlon – El Dorado

–
Hayden Kearney – Valley Falls Dragons
Hayden has been a three-year starter going into his senior year. He’s the best contact hitter I’ve ever watched or coached. I would put him at the top 1-6A in the toughest out in the state of Kansas. On top of that, he’s been the starting shortstop since he was a freshman and has been a part of two state tournament runs. One of which ended up with a third place finish. Hayden is determined to get back there and make a run at a state title.
Damian Cervantez – Valley Falls Dragons
Damian was a huge help for the team last year as a freshman. Started at second base but even moved to shortstop while Hayden was pitching. Just the same as I preached for Hayden, Damian doesn’t strike out much. He started every single game as a freshman and only struck out twice. The future is very bright for him. He was a big part in reaching the state tournament as a freshman and hopes he can do the same for this year.
–
Eli Dean – Perry-Lecompton
Eli is coming off a once in a lifetime season last year setting all kinds of records. He has been a Big 7 all-league player all four years. Reilly Gillaspie – Pleasant Ridge
Reilly is the kind of player who excels at all the little things that make a huge difference. Last season, he played every position on the field, constantly finding ways to stay on the diamond and give his best effort. His versatility and willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team speak volumes about his character and dedication. On the field, Reilly is a leader—someone who commands respect not just because of his talent but because of his commitment to the game. He leads by example, whether it’s with his bat, his speed, or his pinpoint throws. His baseball IQ is off the charts, allowing him to make smart, calculated decisions in crucial moments. He’s not just an all-around athlete; Reilly’s the kind of player who brings something more to the table—a sense of drive and energy that rubs off on everyone around him. Whether it’s making a heads-up play, hustling down the baseline, or picking up his teammates when things aren’t going well, Reilly embodies what it means to be a true team player. For PR Baseball, Reilly Gillaspie is the quiet force that keeps the team moving forward, and while he may not always grab the headlines, there’s no doubt that his impact is felt every time he steps onto the field.
Jackson Haverkamp – Pleasant Ridge
Jackson Haverkamp is the kind of player every team needs, yet so often goes underappreciated. As someone who consistently does everything right, Jackson’s dedication and quiet leadership stand out, even if his contributions don’t always make the highlight reels. Entering his senior season at PRHS, he is a prime example of hard work, resilience, and humility, all while supporting and uplifting his teammates, especially the younger players. Though Jackson has yet to start a varsity game, his commitment to getting better and helping others do the same has become his hallmark. Behind the scenes, he is the player who is always willing to lend a hand, whether it’s offering advice or demonstrating drills. His maturity and willingness to serve as a mentor to the younger players speaks volumes about his character. Instead of seeking attention or accolades, Jackson is motivated by the success of the team as a whole. His approach to the game is grounded in selflessness, and it’s evident in his relationships with his peers. This is the mark of a true leader—one who elevates everyone around him. Jackson’s hard work during the offseason has undoubtedly paid off. As he enters his senior year, the improvements he has made to his game are clear. He has made significant strides in his throwing mechanics and, as a result, his ability to execute on the mound has become a major strength. His fastball is now more precise, and his control is sharp, which will make him an invaluable asset to the pitching staff. But Jackson didn’t stop there—he also focused on developing his speed. His athleticism has improved, allowing him to cover more ground on the field, and he’s become a more versatile player, capable of contributing in multiple roles. While his on-field performance is starting to shine, it’s his mental and emotional approach to the game that truly sets him apart. Jackson’s work ethic and his quiet, no-nonsense demeanor are inspiring to his teammates. They know that he is someone who is never going to make excuses and is always looking for ways to improve. His attitude has created a positive atmosphere in the PRHS Baseball program, and his impact can be felt in the culture of the team. This season, Jackson is primed to make a tangible impact on the field for PRHS Baseball. With his growth as a player and his dedication to being a team player, he has the potential to be one of the cornerstones of the team’s success. Whether he’s called upon to make an appearance on the mound, play in the field, or provide leadership in the dugout, Jackson is ready to take on whatever role is asked of him. His focus, work ethic, and humility make him a player who can be relied upon, and he’s poised to leave his mark on the program. In the world of high school sports, players like Jackson Haverkamp often don’t get the recognition they deserve. But it’s clear that his commitment, leadership, and relentless work ethic will make a lasting impact, not only in his final season but in the legacy he leaves behind for the younger players at PRHS. As Jackson steps into his senior season, there’s no doubt that he will continue to exemplify everything it means to be a true teammate and a player who always does things the right way.

Drew is coming off back to back years of HOA honors and finishing just shy in all state honors. Last year, Drew only played 10 games as he was dealing with off field injuries. With a healthy Drew we become a much more dynamic team and he should get the attention that a player of his caliber deserves.

Jake Voegle – Cedar Vale/Dexter
Coming off a dominant 2024 season, Jake Voegle has established himself as one of the premier players in the state. As the ace of Cedar Vale’s pitching staff, Jake was nearly untouchable on the mound, finishing with an 8-0 record and one no-decision in the regional semifinals. His dominance earned him First Team All-State and First Team All-League honors, solidifying his reputation as a top-tier competitor. Beyond his pitching, Jake is a true all-around talent. When he’s not shutting down hitters, he’s making plays at shortstop and delivering at the plate. He hit .415 last season, proving to be just as dangerous offensively as he is on the mound. His leadership, skill, and work ethic make him a key piece of Cedar Vale’s success heading into the 2025 season. With another year of experience and a hunger to push even further, Jake Voegle is ready to lead Cedar Vale/Dexter Baseball to new heights. Expect another big year from this standout player.
John Hess – Cedar Vale/Dexter
Coming off an incredible freshman season, John Hess proved he is a special talent and a key piece of Cedar Vale Baseball’s future. As a young but dominant presence on the mound, Hess finished the year with an impressive 7-1 record, showing poise and command beyond his years. Not only was he a force on the mound, but he also made a big impact at the plate, hitting .400 as a freshman. His ability to contribute on both sides of the game makes him one of the most exciting young players in the program. With another year of experience and growth, Hess is primed for an even bigger sophomore season. His talent, work ethic, and competitive mindset set him apart, and he will undoubtedly play a major role in Cedar Vale’s push for a postseason run in 2025. The future is bright, and John Hess is just getting started.
Cooper Criss – Cedar Vale/Dexter
Cooper Criss isn’t just a talented young player—he’s a battler who works for everything he’s got. Coming off an incredible freshman season, he proved that hard work and determination can take you a long way. Despite never catching before last year, when the team needed him, he stepped up in a big way behind the plate. His dedication to learning the position and his toughness made a huge impact, elevating our pitchers and making them even better. On top of his work behind the plate, Cooper also contributed offensively, hitting .400 as a freshman. His work ethic, resilience, and willingness to do whatever the team needs make him a special player and a huge asset to Cedar Vale/Dexter Baseball moving forward. With another year of experience under his belt, Cooper Criss is only going to get better—and that’s great news for this team. Expect big things from him in 2025.
Kyle Honkomp – Cedar Vale/Dexter
Kyle Honkomp is the kind of player every team needs—a high-character kid who does everything the right way. He puts in the work, leads by example, and is always willing to go the extra mile for his team. Whether it’s on the field, in the weight room, or supporting his teammates, Kyle does whatever is asked of him—and more. He’s not just about personal success; his biggest goal is to make his teammates proud and to represent his family the right way. He plays with heart, discipline, and a relentless work ethic, setting the standard for what it means to be a Cedar Vale/ Dexter baseball player. In a program built on hard work and dedication, Kyle Honkomp is a perfect example of what we stand for. Expect him to play a major role in our success this season.
Wade Martin – Cedar Vale/Dexter
Wade Martin is as tough and determined as they come. Whether he’s out hunting, fishing, or rodeoing, he thrives in the outdoors, and that same grit and work ethic carry over onto the baseball field. He plays the game with the same passion and determination that he brings to everything he does—never backing down from a challenge and always giving his best effort.
Wade’s toughness, athleticism, and competitive nature make him a key piece of this team. He’s the kind of player who embraces hard work and does the little things that don’t always show up in the box score—hustling on every play, making smart decisions, and being a great teammate. Just like in the outdoors, where success comes from patience, skill, and determination, Wade brings that same mindset to the game. With his all-around athletic ability and relentless drive, expect Wade Martin to make a big impact for Cedar Vale/Dexter Baseball this season.

One of the better players in our league
Brogan Wray – Haven
Brogan plays third base and pitches.
Chandler Ingold – Haven
He will play multiple positions.
–
Brody Haskell – Augusta
Brody, a junior, has already received KABC All-Class 4A recognition twice. He hit .405 last season and has a very strong competitive desire. He’s coachable, respectful, and his personality is one that brings people around him in a positive direction.
Jett Santoya – Augusta
Jett, as a sophomore, is our best power-hitting threat. He is a versatile middle-infielder who will play both short stop and second base for us. Jett enjoys working hard, often spending time after practice taking fungoes & extra swings.
Gavin Bohon – Augusta
Gavin loves baseball, and is working to maximize his performance his senior year. He’s a coachable, very smart player who wants to contribute in any way possible.
–
Conner Hostetler – Chaparral
Started since he was a freshman. Last year as a junior, he hit .453 with 23 steals and went 4-2 on the mound with 59 Ks in 49 IP and a 1.70 ERA. Played UT IF and was our closer on the mound. Hit .271 as a freshman and struck out 27 in 22 IP with a 3.13 ERA.
–
Jace Harness – Udall
Great athlete and competitor who will hopefully fill many roles for us this spring.
Varsity quarterback in football, and guard in basketball.
–
Logan Renken – Little River
He has been a three-year starter and has played on two state teams. Freshman year was playing in the infield and sophomore year was in the infield and pitching. He has a strong left handed bat. He signed with Cowley County this past fall. We look forward to him leading this team this season.
Camden Strecker – Little River
Camden has played a lot of traveling ball the past few summers. (McPherson Team) He is doing something with baseball all year long. We are anxious to see how his abilities go in High School. Very hard worker that knows baseball. He will be one of our infielders and pitch for us.
CJ Herzog – Little River
CJ has played many positions in high school. Very versatile kid who can play in the outfield, infield and pitch. As his confidence rises, his ability will take off. We look forward to a big junior year out of him. Right handed stick.
Eastyn Wohletz – Little River
Strong freshmen that have played a lot of summer ball. (McPherson Traveling Team) Look forward to working with Eastyn this spring. Be an infielder and pitcher for us. He just shot a big buck with his dad this past week.
–
Tyler Frantz – Newton
Tyler Frantz is going to be in a lot of Pitcher of the Year conversations. He recently signed at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He has been on our varsity rotation all four years, looking to improve on last year’s 30 strikeouts and .218 Batting average against Junior year campaign.
Christian Henderson – Newton
Christian Henderson is a multi-sport athlete. His fall season was cut short due to injury. If he returns healthy, he could be a big piece of our puzzle. He has tools to be an impact player. If he puts it all together he will be fun to watch as he matures into a baseball player.
Cody Jay – Newton
Cody always does the little things correctly. He has great attitude, commitment, and effort. Cody’s best quality is his daily service to others on the team. His passion to grow and mature as a baseball player has been fun to witness as a coach.
Trevor Beyer – Newton
Trevor is a very trustworthy student, player, and teammate. Trevor will always be on time with a smile on his face. His teammates and coaches appreciate his calm demeanor. He respects his teammate’s boundaries while holding them to a higher standard. He is a coach’s dream.
–
Carson May, Lucas Pauly & Maddex Hemberger – Conway Springs
Carson May – sophomore and was our #2 pitcher last year as a freshman. ERA 5.89 in 27.1 innings pitched with 34 K and 23 BB. These numbers are stellar as far as stats go but we are expecting big things from him this year after gaining a lot of experience on the mound last year as a freshman.
Lucas Pauly – We are looking for him to be another key player for us, this time in the OF as a lockdown defender. Another starter as a Freshman last year in RF and we expect him to leave the OF until he graduates.
Maddex Hemberger – Played off and on last year as a Freshman but we are really looking to him to be a key piece of our middle infield this year.
With this being only our third season in program history, we have to look to some younger players to help us succeed. We’re still playing catchup with other league schools but we’re starting to close that gap and these young players are going to help us.
Cade Howell – Conway Springs
If you were to look up the definition of hard work or the hardest worker in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Cade. Not only has he played four different positions for us on the baseball team, but he also has been a dual sport athlete in the spring for track as well. Cade throws the Javelin for the Conway Springs track team, where he starts out for practice after school everyday. Then he comes down to the baseball field and catches up with the baseball team’s practice. He was also a starter on the back to back state football teams the past two years as the lead blocking back for Brayden Kuntz and Isaac Winter. Cade is the type of player that if I were to ask him to run through a brick wall, he will not only do it, but he’ll do it with a smile on his face! He’s a part of the school’s powerlifting team and also STUCO president.
Grant Fisher and Eli Howard – Conway Springs
These two young men are two young men that my four year old son looks up to and always wants to see after our games. They are both starters on the Conway Springs back to back state football team as well and my son knows their football jersey numbers and can spot them from the stands. Both of these young men were starters on the Conway Springs state qualifying basketball team last year, will start again this year, and were starters on the back to back state football teams as well.
Eli – I knew that the rest of his family was out of town for softball on a Sunday and he woke up on his own and went to Sunday Mass without anyone else from his family there. He is that type of young man. He knows that someone is always watching and he is always a role model for others to look up to.
Grant – Is the same type of person and player. He has really stepped up to be a leader and leads by example on many occasions. Not just for us, but for our basketball and football teams as well. He’s always there to support his teammates and show them love and respect.
Carson Vineyard – Conway Springs
If Carson has ANY free time, he’s out in nature. He’s either hunting (he’s a big hunter) or fishing, or just outside in general. He loves to hunt deer, turkey, birds, fowl, and even has his own dog. He’s been hunting when it’s too cold for even the most purist of hunters are still at home in their beds where it’s warm and dry. He travels to hunt. He even shows up to practice in his boots most of the time. This young man LOVES the outdoors!!!
–
Camden Stateler – Campus High School
Camden is going to be a senior for our program this year and has played varsity baseball all four years with the program. Camden plays MIF for us and took a big leap on the mound for us last season. Camden comes out each day whether it is practice or a game and gives everything he has and leaves it on the field. We called on him to pitch last season for us and again, he answered the call with no questions and competed every inning. Camden has great character and leads by example on the field with how he carries himself.
Ethan Powers – Campus High School
Ethan is the definition of a Character Count Athlete. Ethan is a “PO” for our program and brings the right attitude and character each day. Ethan is not going to “Wow” you with his fastball on the mound, but he is going to compete every time his number is called. Last Season Ethan gave us multiple quality starts and put us in positions to win a baseball game. Ethan fears no opponent and what I love most about him is every time I ask him if he wants a start or wants to pitch his answer is always going to be YES… no matter the opponent. With that there were multiple times where Ethan bounced back from a short day’s rest and wanted to compete on the mound. Ethan always wants the ball and that is the attitude of a kid with great character.
–
Carter Hostetler – Chaparral
Carter is Conner’s little brother, he started as a freshman last year and came along as the season went. He played solid defense at second and short stop and held his own at the plate. He’s physically grown and should take a big step this year. He’s also my closer, he had 22.1 IP with 29 K’s and a 3.13 ERA as a freshman.
Hank Shinliver – Wellington
Hank is our starting catcher. He is a junior who is the leader of our team. We are excited for him to continue to grow following his breakout 2024 campaign. He caught 26 of our 26 regular season games last year before rupturing his appendix and not being able to play in regionals. His skill and leadership abilities were greatly missed in the regional championship.
James Redford – Wellington
He will be a three-year starter at first base for us. James is the first one at practice and the last one to leave. He does a great job doing the dirty work for our infield. The trust our team has in him is unmatched.
Milo Elder – Wellington
Milo was first-team all-league on the mound as a sophomore. He set our school record in saves, which is a feat given the pitchers we have had in the history of our program. Milo is a true competitor on the mound and is going to pitch at a high level in college. He also is a great teammate, works hard around the field to make it look good, and is the first one to correct someone when their actions don’t align with our program’s standards.
–
Connor Commerford – Oxford
Connor is a four-year starter, will be a four-year all league and four-year all state selection. One of the top players I’ve had here in my 19 years at OHS. Has been our #1 on the mound the last couple of years, but is easily the best CF I’ve coached at OHS. Plus speed, good bat, high OBP guy from the leadoff spot. Besides being a good baseball player, he’s also a solid football and basketball player. He’s also involved in scholar’s bowl at OHS. 4.0 student with a 30 plus ACT. Great young man who I enjoy coaching in basketball and baseball and enjoy having in class.
Tucker Ruyle – Oxford
Tucker came on strong last year as a sophomore, entering the starting lineup as our third base. He has a plus bat and high baseball IQ. I look for him to have a huge breakout season this spring.
Gage Lewellen – Oxford
Gage is a hard working young man who loves baseball! He is a junior this year and a returning starter, as he started in LF/RF He may move to fill our open second base position. Gage is a kid that will do whatever the team needs. He’s an OF by trade, but if we need him to play second base this spring he will. He just wants to win, wants to help the team, and is a great kid. The ultimate team guy.
Kellen Green – Oxford
Kellen is my son, a junior this year, and will be our returning starter at short stop this spring. He’s an all state and all league basketball player, who plays baseball, but it’s not his first love. He loves to compete and baseball is another way for him to compete. He does all the little things we need to support the team and his friends who love baseball. He’s a great kid and a joy to coach.
Pearson Rush – Oxford
Pearson will be a returning starter for us this spring, he’s a junior. He played LF/C this past spring. Ultimate team guy who works hard and does all the little things right. He’s also an avid hunter and fisherman who loves working and being outdoors. Very much a small town Kansas kid!
–
Danick Bleich – Circle
Senior leader, will play at the next level.
Rocky Cosby – Circle
Started as a freshman in baseball and football, could have a big year for us.
Ben McAdoo – Circle
Starter in CF since he got here, does everything that’s asked and never complained. Doesn’t act like he’s been one of our best players, always helping others.
Keatyn Bally – Circle
Works hard, never complains, drives a Tesla.
Brooks Clevenger – Circle
Would rather be fishing than playing baseball and he’s good at baseball.
