Southeast of Saline senior Adyson Rohr does what it takes to win every single night. Whether that is playing a guard or now playing the post, there is a very good reason why Rohr has been a three year starter for head coach Shauna Smith and the Trojans.
“Adyson is a loyal and hardworking student-athlete,” Smith said. “Adyson rebounds and defends very well. Her understanding of the game and of how we need to play the game makes her extremely valuable on the offensive and defensive side of the court.”
Rohr has always been involved in sports having started playing basketball in Kindergarten, she has found an increased sense of urgency as her career dwindles down.
“My personal goal this season is to lead by example, whether it’s with hard work, hustle, or helping my teammates out,” Rohr said. “We are a young team so as a leader this season, I want to show good work ethic, communication, and help guide the underclassmen.”
The senior has been one of the consistent pieces for the Trojans over her last four years and has been just as consistent off the court.
“Adyson is the type of person that you want your children to look up to,” Smith said. “(She is) a positive role model with a character that shines through with everything she does.”
The senior has a little over half the season left to go before she starts her next journey at Fort Hays State University where she will major in Nursing.
