Baylee Randall-Hurt of Minneapolis is back for the Lions this season. Working on both her mental physical game, Randall-Hurt is eager for the road ahead.

“I’m preparing for the upcoming season by working on both my inside and outside game, as well as improving my speed and stamina,” Randall-Hurt said. “One of my weaknesses is my mental game. I’m a big team player and always try to lift up my teammates, even when I’m not performing my best.”

A long season ahead gives Randall-Hurt plenty of time to practice. While she hopes to better herself, she’s also ready to help take her team into some postseason play.

“I have many goals for this season, including earning an all-league honorable mention, helping my team make it to state, and increasing my stats compared to last year,” Randall-Hurt said. “My biggest focus is improving my speed and stamina.”

Some big competition is keeping Randall-Hurt excited and pumped up for the season, as well as getting to take on the leadership role.

“I can’t wait to face multiple teams in our league and hopefully come out on top, winning the league title—especially since we’ve lost to Beloit several times in past years,” Randall-Hurt said. “I know it will be tough without some of last year’s seniors who made basketball so much fun, but I’m ready to step up.”
