Inman Softball – Team of the Month – Presented by Visit Wichita

By Matt Browning

The Inman softball team went 26–2 last season, finishing second at the 2-1A softball tournament.

With so many returning players this season, the Teutons are poised to be a threat again as they chase a state championship.

Inman brings back Lyla Levin, first team all-league pitcher; Taylor Froese, first team all-league infielder; Maddi Parsons, second team all-league catcher; Sharley Leonhardt, first team all-league outfielder; Adi Alcala, second team all-league infielder; and Ellie Thimmesch, second team all-league outfielder.

“My expectations for the 2026 season are to continue the strong tradition Coach Ryan has set in place,” said head coach, Tina Meier. “We have a strong and talented group of young ladies and I’m excited to be a part of their softball journey. As a program, we will work towards goals that we will set for this year’s season. With each goal we achieve, we will look at that as team success. ”

The Teutons will face a grueling Heart of America League schedule, meaning they will need to be locked in game in and game out.

“We must have team continuity and player development,” Meier said. “Every game on the schedule is key whether that is team success or program development.”
