As a senior at Salina Central, Cooper Reves is entering the upcoming wrestling season with experience, purpose, and a deep love for the sport. A proven competitor on the national stage, Reves is most excited to get back on the mat, not just to compete, but to help those around him improve and enjoy wrestling the same way he does.
Reves spent his offseason traveling and training extensively, logging countless hours at practices, camps, and workouts across Kansas, including Kansas City, Wichita, and Topeka. That dedication has already paid off in his career, as he’s coming off an outstanding year that included a Folkstyle National Championship, a state championship, and podium finishes at both Fargo Nationals and NHSCA Nationals.
While continuing to sharpen his skills, Reves has made leadership a primary focus this year. His biggest goal for the season isn’t defined by medals alone, but by being the best possible example for teammates and younger wrestlers who look up to him. Throughout the offseason, he worked toward that goal by giving back. Helping at camps, supporting younger athletes, and offering guidance to newer wrestlers at larger, intimidating tournaments are just a few ways Reves is giving back.
For Reves, success this season means ending the year as the best wrestler he can be while helping his teammates grow and develop a true passion for the sport. Beyond wrestling, he stays busy with football and enjoys reading, hunting, and fishing in his free time.
Looking ahead, Reves plans to continue his wrestling career at the University of Northern Iowa, where he will study biology. With his work ethic, leadership, and commitment to growth, Cooper Reves is poised for a memorable senior season and a promising future beyond Salina Central.
