Concordia’s Charlize Cash – Salina Area Poll Winner – Presented by WSU Tech

Concordia’s Charlize Cash has spent the entire offseason training for the moment she gets to step back out on the court. Cash was a first team all-league selection for the Panthers last season.

“I am preparing for the season by getting in the gym and getting shots up, going on runs and doing sprints to get in shape, and going with my brother and his friends to go against bigger and better competition,” Cash said. “A particular weakness I want to improve on this season is shooting more and not getting down on myself after one mistake because there is more games to play.”

With high expectations for the 2025-2026 campaign, Cash knows Concordia’s season is going to look a lot different than last year’s.

“I want to get at least 85 steals for the team and I hope to have a winning season this year, and hopefully to make it to state,” Cash said. “With the experience that we have coming back from last year and some new additions to the team I think we will be pretty fun to watch.”

Cash doesn’t plan to end her basketball journey just yet, but is undecided as to where she would like to continue

“I have multiple opportunities to further my basketball career, I just have to decide which one,” Cash said. “I would like to get a business degree because I hope to open my own animal business one day.”
