Beloit’s Brad Gober – Coach of the Month – Presented by Salina Regional Orthopedic Clinic

By Cooper Chadwick

After leading Beloit to a 9-3 record and getting second place in their district, head coach Brad Gober is excited to get back on the field with his boys.

Gober has been coaching high school football since 2010. He has coached at Rock Creek, as well as Augusta, and has been the head coach at Beloit High school for nine years.

When asked about what got him into coaching, Gober attributed it to the people he had in his life when he was younger.

“I had great role models growing up who were great coaches and great teachers. I love watching our athletes improve as football players, but most importantly as young men,” Gober said.

Gober hopes that the quality and intensity of their offseason will transfer over to the season, and that their standouts will step up and make big contributions this fall.

Beloit has skilled returners in senior running back and defensive back Joel Rexroat and senior offensive tackle and defensive end Brody Litton. As well as sophomores Griff Johnson, Jacob Hand and Kross Kremmerer.

Beloit’s motto for this season is “Win The Day” which goes hand in hand with Gobert’s coaching Philosophy.

“My philosophy as a coach is to always be myself and to always be consistent in how we approach each workout, practice, and game. I truly believe that if we can remain consistent in those areas each and every week, we will always become the best version of ourselves by the end of the season. I also truly believe that we, as coaches, have to invest time into the total man. We have to teach these young men what it means to be a man of integrity and a man that people can count on,” Gober said.
